Applicants must be: Students in their final year of high school/upper secondary school or high school/upper secondary school graduates or current college/university undergraduates Nontraditional students looking to make a career change are also encouraged to apply Be pursuing a degree in a Security, Information Science, Technology or Computer Science related field (including but not limited to): Certificate in Knowledge of Electronic Security and Emergency Systems Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications Cyber security Data Processing and Data Processing Technology/Technician Data Science qualification Diploma in Electronic, Security and Emergency Systems Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technologies/Technicians Electronic technician Information systems security Information Technology Project Management Information technology security low voltage systems technician Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation Security technician Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire 2021-22 academic year Reside in and plan to attend college/university in the United States (U.S.), United Kingdom (U.K.), France, The Netherlands, or Sweden for the next upcoming academic term Employees and children of employees of STANLEY Security, STANLEY Healthcare, STANLEY Access Technologies and other divisions of Stanley Black & Decker are ineligible. Awards If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, the value of the award granted will be granted based on the country in which the recipient will attend college/university. Recipients attending college/university in the U.S. or U.K. will be granted awards of $5,000. Recipients attending college/university in France, The Netherlands, or Sweden will be granted awards of $1,000. Awards are for undergraduate study only and can be used for any education-related expenses. Awards should first be applied to tuition; fees required for enrollment; and books, supplies, and equipment required by courses of instruction. However, once these needs are met, awards can also be used for other education-related expenses, including but not limited to room and board. Awards are one-time only and past recipients may not reapply.
